#Best10WithMYD - Hair Dryer

The next post in the #Best10WithMYD series is gonna be about how you can use your hair dryer for various purposes. In today's post we have listed down ten different things for which we use our hair dryer other than blow drying our hair!

Img source - Google

1. To break in new heels or shoes. Put on your socks and wear your new pair of footwear and just blow dry over it. This will help stretch out your shoes thereby preventing shoe bites.

2. For drying nail paint. Most of the times we put on the nail paint at the last moment and have very little time for it to dry out. Use your hair dryer in the low heat or cool setting to help dry nail paint faster.

3. To dry damp makeup sponges or brushes after cleaning.

4. To remove labels or stickers from anywhere. Using a hair dryer over a sticker loosens up the glue and makes it easier to peel off.

5. For hair straightening. Most of the times we don't have enough time to blow dry and then use a straightener. Moreover using a hair dryer and a straightener back to back will make your hair dry. Ditch the straightener and blow dry your hair in sections pulling it downwards. It will give the straight hair effect.

6. To warm the eyelash curler. Warm your eyelash curler prior using to make your lashes longer and neatly curled. Ensure that the curler isn't too hot before application.

7. To clean dust on keyboards. Cleaning the dust off the keyboard becomes very easy using a blow dryer. Just make sure you use it in the cool setting for this.

8. To soften butter before baking. Butter is generally the last item that one removes from the fridge while baking and bringing it to room temperature can be quite a task. Soften the butter in just a few minutes using a hair dryer.

9. To create quick beach curls. Apply little hair spray and divide your hair into 3-4 sections depending on it's thickness and braid each section separately. Blow dry each section and open up the braids. Set the curls using some setting spray.

10. To spot iron clothes. If you happen to drop your drink or food on your clothes then just clean the spot with some water and dry it quickly using a hair dryer.

These are just some of the ways we use our hair dryer and we hope this post will help you discover the full potential of your under rated hair dryer thrown in one of the drawers!
If you guys have any suggestions for the next item in the #Best10WithMYD series then do let us know.

#Best10WithMYD - Coconut Oil

We are always told to make the best use of anything and everything that's given to us but how are we supposed to do that unless we know all the possible uses? As we mentioned earlier, we at MYD are determined to make your lives simpler and here we are back again! ;)
From this post on, for the entire month of July we will be bringing to you ten amazing ways to use different kinds of products that are just lying around in your house. Sounds kind of fun, doesn't it?
So our first product for this month is something that all of us have at our houses and its 'Coconut Oil'.
Coconut oil is one of the most underestimated products that all of us own. It also happens to be one of my favorite oils ever! So keep on reading to know ten different ways how you can use Coconut Oil-

1. As a pre conditioner. Coconut oil works great as a pre conditioner. Just massage your hair with it 30 minutes before taking a shower and it will make your hair really smooth and shiny. Do this twice a week for best results.

2. For soft supple skin. With the weather changes comes flaky skin. Rub coconut oil all over your body 20 minutes before taking a bath and you will notice your skin will become very soft. Bye bye rough skin!

3. As a makeup remover. Coconut oil is one of the best natural makeup removers you will ever find. It melts away any kind of makeup very easily without causing any harm to your skin.

4. In exfoliating scrubs. Making a natural exfoliating scrub at home is very simple. just mix equal parts of coconut oil and sugar and use it as a scrub to remove any dead skin. It is very natural and great for those with sensitive skin.

5. For treating dark circles. Massage a tiny amount of coconut oil into your under eye area and leave it overnight. You will wake up next day with less visible dark circles.

6. To clean makeup brushes. Coconut oil easily gets rid of all the makeup on the makeup brushes very easily. (even the foundation brushes!) Soak your dirty brushes in some coconut oil prior to washing them. Cleaning them this way will become much easier!

7. For spot treatment. Coconut oil is great to treat those stubborn face spots that just don't seem to go. Massage a small amount of oil into the spot and let it sit there for sometime before washing it off.
Your spots will get lighter in just a few days.

8. To treat sunburns. Sunburns can be very painful and coconut oil is a great remedy to treat it. The oil calms the skin and helps heal sunburns faster. It can also be used to get rid of unpleasant tan lines.

9. For diluting essential oils. Most essential oils are highly concentrated and need to be diluted first. Coconut oil works great as a base oil to dilute such essential oils.

10. For softer feet. Massage coconut oil on your heels before going to bed. You will wake up to smoother feet.

So these were the various ways in which we use coconut oil. I hope this helped you all and if you do try any of them then do let us know :)

MYD :)
