Day 8 - MYD travel recommendations

Hey hey!

Planning a holiday this year?
Ditch Goa and add these other amazing places on your list instead!

1. Manali
Manali is a beautiful town in Himachal Pradesh. The weather is lovely all through the year but one must plan a trip depending on what aspect of Manali you want to experience. Summer months are great to explore the place, try various adventure sports and also trek. The winters are great with a lot of snow and skiing is very popular in the Solang Valley. Set on the beautiful Beas river, Manali is a visual treat.

2. Leh - Ladakh
Leh - Ladakh is a place you must visit at least once in your lifetime. It combines sheer beauty with adventure. The best months to visit Ladakh would be from June to October during which all the passes open. Instead of taking a flight till Leh, cover the 490km stretch from Manali to Leh by road. This is gonna be the best road trip of your life.

3. Andaman
If you are a sea-lover then Andaman is your paradise. From surreal beaches to a wide variety of water sports, this place has everything. Not to forget Andaman is the best and the safest place in India to try scuba diving. The dynamic coral reef here make the experience magical.

4. Rishikesh
Situated beside the holy Ganga, Rishikesh is the place to be to discover your spiritual side. It is considered a spiritual center for yoga and meditation all around the world. People from everywhere flock here to not just understand spirituality but also to escape from the fast paced city life. If you are an adventure seeker then you must try the white water rafting here.

5. Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is like a mini India in itself. Super friendly people and beautiful beaches are what define this country.  I'd highly recommend you to make it a point to visit this country around the Vesak festival around May and June, it's breathtaking! It brings out the culture of the city so amazingly, I was awestruck. Apart from this, this is another good destination to give your water sports a shot and adrenaline a rush.

6. Coorg
This is a small hill-station in Karnataka and is very known for it's breathtaking views and the Kodava culture. It's makes for a great road trip from Bangalore and around with Bandipur wildlife reserve on the way. Stay at a one of the good resorts with an infinity pool and you're set. The weather and amazing sunsets are enough to set your weekend right!

No no, don't get us wrong. we love Goa but there is SO much more to explore! Make 2017 memorable. Make it your best! <3

We'll be back tomorrow with something new :)
