The goodness of greek yogurt!

Today's post is slightly different from our usual as I am going to tell you all about Greek yogurt. Recently Epigamia sent us their 12 flavors of Greek yogurt and before trying them and telling you about how my experience was I wanted to research more about it and give you a little insight into what Greek yogurt is and if it is a better option than regular yogurt. 

Greek yogurt is thicker than the regular yogurt and also has more protein (almost double than that of the regular one). Plain Greek yogurt can also be a little more sour than the regular plain one and that's why a lot of people prefer flavored Greek yogurt. However if you are trying to eat super healthy then you might wanna stick to the plain one because the flavored yogurt will have some amount of sugar added to it. Greek yogurts are also rich in calcium which is another great incentive!

Now that you know about the advantages of Greek yogurt let me introduce you to one of the biggest Greek yogurt brands in India, Epigamia. When Epigamia sent us their Greek yogurts I was beyond excited. I had tried a couple of their flavors before but I was looking forward to trying all the varieties they offer. Some of the major positives of the Epigamia Greek yogurt are - 
  • Great source of calcium.
  • Low in fat and carbs.
  • Very high in protein.
  • It's 100% vegetarian (Some companies add gelatin to their yogurt thereby making it unsuitable for vegetarians).
  • It has a thick and creamy consistency.

  • Large variety of yummy flavors to choose from.

Coming to the flavors they have both sweet and savory ones. This was the first time I tried a savory Greek yogurt and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.
My top 5 must try flavors of the Epigamia Greek yogurt are : 
  1. Strawberry with Chunky Granola
  2. Honey Banana
  3. Mango
  4. Blueberry
  5. Cream and Onion with Barley puffs
These are definitely my absolute favorite ones and I strongly recommend you to try it!

Greek yogurt can be eaten in a variety of ways. The snack pack can be eaten just the way it is but you can try different recipes for the other flavors. You can use the savory flavors to make dips or spreads. The sweet ones can be used in smoothie bowls or tarts. One can always flavor the plain one in any way as it has no flavor and is extremely versatile. I mixed a few cut fruits in my plain one and it was the best snack in between my regular meals. 

I enjoyed all the flavors and I have fallen in love with Greek yogurt. I have already restocked them at home and I don't think I am going to get tired of eating it. If you haven't tried Greek yogurt yet then definitely give Epigamia a shot. :)
