Skincare with Palmer's

A month ago I attended my first blogger event, Summer Social for Bloggers by Palmer's. I had heard of the brand before but I didn't own any of their products because they weren't available in India. I am so glad that I didn't miss this event as not only did I get my hands on some amazing Palmer's products but also got to meet some lovely Bangalore bloggers.

The event was organized in Sly Granny to launch the face oil and their new range of cocoa butter lip balms. First, I am going to tell you guys in detail about my experience with the products and then give you a few insights of what actually went down at the event. :)

I was quite impressed when I got to know that Palmer's products are :

  • Paraben free
  • Hypoallergenic (i.e relatively unlikely to cause an allergic reaction)
  • Mineral Oil free
  • No Phthalates
  • Cruelty free
  • Suitable for all skin types

The first product is the Skin Therapy Face Oil with rosehip fragrance. I have been using this oil regularly for the past 4 weeks and I do feel a difference. I didn't have any major skin issue but I did have some pigmentation on my face and I have seen it lighten slightly. The texture of my skin has also improved a lot. I am going to continue using this oil and hopefully I will get rid of all the pigmentation by the time I finish this bottle. The bottle comes in a very cute and convenient dropper packaging and each bottle has 30 ml of the oil. I only require 4-5 drops of the oil and I apply it all over my face and neck in the night before going to bed. It is very light and absorbs into the skin immediately. You can apply this oil during the day as well but I would not recommend that as the oil contains Retinol which increases skin sensitivity and can increase the chances of a sunburn. I feel this product works best at night.
Some major characteristics and advantages of this oil are -

  • Even though it's an oil, it is suitable for all skin types. I have combination skin and I did not break out at all after using this.
  • It helps improve uneven skin tone and dark spots.
  • It also claims to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • It is non-greasy.
  • It has a very convenient dropper which makes application non messy and easy.
  • The bottle is going to last you for a long long time because you don't require more than 4-5 drops of the product for the entire face and neck.
  • It does not have a strong smell.
  • The face oil is composed of the following oils : Argan Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Maracuja Oil, Apricot Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Sesame Oil, Vitamin C & Vitamin E.
  • Additionally it also contains Retinol (Vitamin A) which helps reduce wrinkles and pigmentation.
  • It can be used all year round.
  • It is very affordable. Rs. 525 for 30 ml of product.

The next set of new launches are their cocoa butter lip balms. They are currently available in 3 flavors - Dark Chocolate & Cherry, Dark Chocolate & Mint and Original. I was especially excited to try out these lip balms because lip balms are those essentials which you can never have enough of. I was slightly disappointed with the Dark Chocolate & Cherry one because it claims to have a cherry tint but the actual tint was too light to be visible. Other than that I loved all the variations and the lip balms do their job efficiently. Here is a list of some characteristics of these lip balms which made me fall in love with them -

  • It contains SPF 15.
  • The lip balms are of a convenient size.
  • It is very moisturizing and smell divine.
  • The lip balms contain pure cocoa butter and Vitamin E.
  • They are slightly oval shaped and glide into the pockets of trousers very easily.
  • The Dark Chocolate & Mint gives a slight cooling sensation after application. This is definitely my favorite one.
  • Priced at Rs 130 for 4 gm of product.

They also gave us their popular Skin Therapy Oil which I haven't used much yet. I have heard so many good things about it and I shall keep you all updated once I start using it.
Palmer's products are available in Health and Glow stores and also online at Nykaa, Amazon and Flipkart.

Now coming to the event, the blogger's meet was amazing. The lunch was at the beautiful community house in Indiranagar, Sly Granny. We had some great conversations and I also got to meet a lot of beautiful and hardworking bloggers. The lunch was filled with games, laughter, pictures and a whole lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Hope you guys liked reading about my experience with the brand :)

Until next time.

Love,
MYD 😊
